Service Officer Bio:
Norman F. Sullivan joined the U.S. Navy on 8/1/1969 and served until 7/31/1973. He trained at Great Lakes, USN Station until 2/20/1970 and was then stationed in Naval Hospital Naples, Italy for 3 years, 5 months.
He has been a member of American Legion Post 450, Solsberry, for 31 consecutive years, is a member of the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation - Washington, D.C., and a Charter Member of the WW II Memorial Society.
In 1974 he was hired as an EMT in Bloomfield and worked for 4 1/2 years on the Greene County Ambulance Service.
He has owned and operated photography businesses for 26 years and still works out of his home in his spare time. He and his wife, Nancy, have been married for 21 years. They enjoy traveling and casual evenings with their friends.
Norm has been employed as the Greene County VSO since January 1, 1989.
